Amy is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist and PhD Candidate who works both in private practice and at Monash Children’s Hospital.
In her practice, she provides comprehensive and affirming neurodevelopmental assessments for children and adults, including assessments for autism, ADHD, and learning differences.
Amy also offers therapy for adolescents, young adults, and parents. She has a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety and mood challenges, stress and burnout, trauma, neurodivergence, and social/relational/attachment challenges.
She also has a special interest in working with:
people with lived experience of foster care
those in social work roles, particularly in the child protection sector
individuals exploring questions around faith, identity, and belief systems
Amy’s therapy style is warm, collaborative, and flexible. She draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), compassion and mindfulness-based approaches, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support each person in a way that fits them best.
Alongside her clinical work, Amy is actively involved in research, including her PhD project exploring well-being outcomes for foster carers. Research helps ensure Amy's practice remains informed by the latest evidence and contributes to improving support for individuals and families in the wider community. Joan is a registered psychologist, an Educational and Developmental Psychology Registrar and one of our resident assessment clinicians.
Joan has experience providing neurodevelopmental assessments for children and adolescents, including autism, ADHD, and learning differences. She adopts a comprehensive, strengths-based and person-centred approach to assessments and sees them as opportunities for self-discovery and growth for young people and their families.
Joan is dedicated to creating a safe and fun space for young people and strives to provide compassionate, affirming and high-quality care to those she works with.
Joan has a background as a literacy specialist supporting children with developing literacy skills. She is particularly interested in supporting people with learning differences and collaborating on ways to tailor their learning to best suit their needs.

Mark is a provisional psychologist who has completed his Master of Professional Psychology and is currently undertaking his final supervised internship with us.
He will be offering neurodevelopmental assessments and therapy to children and young people at a reduced fee, with options for in-clinic, telehealth, and school-based appointments.
Mark has extensive experience in community mental health, providing therapeutic support to individuals across the lifespan. He is especially passionate about supporting young people to build a sense of belonging, identity, and resilience.
Mark has a particular interest in working with anxiety, mood and emotion regulation challenges, social stress, and relational challenges.
He draws on CBT, ACT, mindfulness and play-based interventions. Mark previously studied a Master of Environment and is also interested in the benefits of walk-and-talk and nature-based therapy approaches.
Mark's approach puts young people at the centre of their experiences and aims to empower growth and insight, whilst also supporting the systems around them.
